This is consistent with my statement that psychotropic medications, when used according to accepted medical standards, do not induce violent behavior. -- In the "American Journal of Psychiatry" 9-91 study, patients suffering Luvox-induced mania were not helped by the anti-mania drug lithium, indeed it seemed to make them worse. Only when the use of Luvox stopped did the patient's mania clear. Not only Luvox causes mania. Obviously they don't because if they did then they'd be many more violent incidents given that millions of people are on SSRIs and other antidepressants. You are absolutely right. This is just another example of someone using a tragedy to push an agenda. In the case of Columbine, some people said it was because the kids were atheist. Well, Barton wasn't. Simple explanations are comforting because they avoid the next to examine complexity and uncertainty. While they may be comforting they are simply wrong.
