To all: Earnings estimates. Zacks has a range of $.25 to .29 for the September quarter and $1.25 average for the year 2000 ending September. Doesn't make much sense to me. If Conexant earns $.30 this quarter then $1.25 for the next four quarters is $.31 a quarter not much growth there. Are people expecting seasonal revenue growth for Conexant? I expect a lot of people are thinking the personal computing business platform (modems) will hold earnings back. Computer sells go up in the December quarter so sells in the personal computing section should increase this and next quarter. This should help earnings and the personal computing section's percent of revenue is decreasing because the other sections are growing faster which will help increase net profit margins. It seems that Conexant earnings should be over $1 by December 31 1999 for the trailing 12 months and with a PE similar to PMCS, BRCM or LU we should be over $100. I think earnings of over $2 for the year 2000 is not out of line. Does anyone see seasonal revenue for Conexant's products or a fall off of sells for some products?
