Benkea, Johannesburg Stock Exchange. and you are correct, SA reits are traditionally very cheap. i have no information on their current dividend yields, but they used to be quite high. a stock i liked to play while in SA was Consolidated Mining. it produces gold from sand and slime dumps in the Witwatersrand area. when the gold price is low, these shares tend to trade in the 2 - 5 S.A. cents range. they are traditionally a ten- to twenty-bagger on a $40 -$50 up-move in the price of gold if picked up near their lows, and pay annual dividends of 2-3 SA cents in good years, basically what you pay for the stock during lean years. unfortunately they are not listed on an U.S. exchange.

regards,
