no one mentions that excite through T offers its phone modem for 14.94 a month.

I had completely forgotten about that. Kinda sad how such an impressive deal seems to have created so little "buzz".

The day I heard about that dial-up plan I checked into it. $15 a month is less that I can get from any cheap local operator. Sadly I discovered that AT&T does not have a local dial-up number. I have not heard mention of it since that day.

I just gave the my excite home page a pretty careful lookover and could find no mention of Excite ISP service. Pretty bad advertising.

I wonder how Excite has been doing at signing up dial-up customers. Anyone have a clue? Anyone know if they still offer it? I cant find reference to it anywhere on the Excite site.

Edit: With about 5 min. of searching I came across it on a generic "access providers page" Very sad I had to look that hard for it. Its almost as if they dont even want the business.

Another afterthought: So far excite has done a similarly poor job of promoting @home on its web site. What did we give away 1/3 of the company for again?
