If this is what you refer to:

(File name: 99-83.txt sec.gov ), there are many other ways that it is still OK to use stock to promote a company (pay a lawyer, encourage a supplier to promote or deal with a company, etc.). Just look at CBS and SPLN or CBS and BIGE.
