It's not an accident that "Sign up for Excite@Home NOW!!" isn't plastered all over the place. Very bad mistake to drive demand and then fail to deliver

Good point. How about at least a mention of @home somewhere? What kind of brand building is this?

The name in a logo perhaps, one link at the bottom- there is zero!

A nice example: the "new" version of SI has a small but tasteful "go2net" logo in the upper right corner. You see it on every page. People will know go2net more because of SI.

Exactly, they do advertise in my area (Salt Lake City) my son has seen a T.V ad and they have a big billboard on the freeway by CompUSA. They have also been doing direct mail advertising. Also TCI the cable provider in my area has been advertising digital cable heavily and they are providing info every two weeks in the local paper where digital upgrades are taking place. They do mention high speed internet as one of the benefits of the upgrade. We all need to keep in mind that they cannot upgrade a big city all at once.

'@Home is doing just what they should, meeting their numbers and jamming the cable companies with a cattle prod to upgrade plant.

Cattle Prod - Plant - Advertising - Users - Finish Line'

Excellent synopsis of priority management.

I tip my hat to you.
