Tennessee Beach, tropical? (That's the one where you walk a ways down from the parking site past this big hill and there are real high cliffs?) It was ccccold the time I was there.
I remember the Atlantic as warmer. Air and water. Bigger flatter SAND beaches and the Moon rising over the water. Low tide could be beautiful - there would be fifty feet of mirror between waves and sand. That was my favorite thing, especially at sunrise.

You omitted the Gulf coast ~ water as warm as amniotic fluid, so shallow that you can walk offshore maybe 50 ft, maybe 100 ft, and still be knee deep, depending on where you are. The water the color of aquamarines that haven't been heat treated, it's a brilliant green, but not emerald, really.
