well, it looks like i missed an opportunity to respond to a balanced?? person who wants to blame everyone else for his lack of vision or appropriate response. you remind me of dennis rodman on and off court. his balance is legendary.

i have posted about preparedness--OURS--and challenged those who think everything is hunky dory now as well as in the near future to think again, if they are able.
instead of being granted a voice, or an independent thought of my own, i am accused of spreading panic. you sir, have obviously missed my post where i laid out the psychological background for understanding fear in the first place.
panic is NOT the result of fear. fight, freeze or flee is the result of fear, NOT panic. panic results from finding healthy behavioral choices outlawed, removed, barricaded, or otherwise deprecated by the likes of yourself and the balanced approach people, busy writing laws, eo's and pdds for the good of the people. or did you miss the eugene register story where the mayor was imitating what portland oregon, beaverton, and silverton oregon city councils had done to implement the Ft Dix NJ Army Domestic Preparedness agenda laid out in April 8, 9 19 hour intensive for government officials in 1998?
those are objective, responsible media covered issues. and those secret behavioral modification choices that have been removed by those 4 governments as they spread from north to south down the military highway also known as interstate 5, which stretches from san diego to north of seattle, is just 4 examples mentioned on this thread in the spirit of informing that more choice responses have been elimated or outlawed because of y2k.
i believe i am balanced, now, always have been, and will continue to be. i believe that i have made the maximum amount of good choices for me and my family while we still had a multitude of legitimate options to chose from.
the closer the point of y2k induced SIMULTANEOUS and CASCADING failures envelops this planet, the less positive choices one will find they have individually, let alone corporately or as a class.
i have made myself and my family a public example of one way to do get ready, one series of thought provoking as well as downright pointed confrontations to those who think balance on their part is going to keep multiple options open to them ad infinitum. my very presence on this thread saying i have done this, i have cast aside that (for example the lousy chlorox water purification idea) is a challenge to those who want to dance on the head of a pin with a thousand angels and miraculously cram food, water, and cash into their lives like they use to cram for their highschool latin exams.
if find it interesting that:
you do not dispute JIT manufacturing, and the disadvantages to it now,
you do not dispute that water quality NOW when things are pre y2k IS ALREADY SUSPECT TO DISMAL according to many scientific sources and many evening mainstream tv broadcasts, let alone NOT plentiful in many regions, not just of the usa but globally.
you do not dispute the inequity in taxes PRE-y2k, let alone participate in the no-taxes, no government doling out your SS benefit checks.
you do not dispute the inequality of the sexes in pay and opportunity PRE-y2k, when there is time to do something about it before the world returns to might makes right and brawny hunter gatherer kills 2 wives and two kids, 9 'innocents' and then himself. could you possibly be looking forward to a live with only amazon woman survivors or possibly no women at all?
but you DO offer as undisputable your right to say whatever you wish to whomever you wish
on whatever forum you wish,
but don't give the graceful permission in return.
while you are being so balanced in your approach to not spread panic, where are YOUR concepts and adaptations and explanations of different y2k response options?
how about actually offering a recommendation of self-composting toilet tissue instead of t'p'ing every prepared persons' trees in cybertown?
you're obviously not good at attacking the post y2k problems now.
and your attempts to attack people are worse.
however, the proof will be in the pudding, garry. me and mine will be eating, sleeping, and recreating in style and comfort because of our planning, when you, sir, will be flat on your ass wondering what the hell happened to all your freedoms and options. and you deserve what you prepare for, or in your case, are NOT preparing for. no crocodile tears then or now.
your presence here will not be missed anymore than c.k. houston's rantings and school marm chastisements and PM backbiting namecalling behavior will be. when either of you have anything in the way of options and personal responses to post regarding your personal encounter with y2k challenges, please return and share. until then, i'm grateful you are leaving and take a nice long sail, AGAIN. the last one wasn't nearly as cleansing or long enough from my point of view. |
