As to the music you can download, I think the selection is very limited. I assume this will change very soon. As to mix-n-match question, yes you can customize. You can put together 60 minute CD for about 20 bucks. Music Maker makes the CD-ROM then it arrives at your place via snail mail. Just go to there site and put one together. You can do what-if-ing without buying. Personally I think they have a great web site but the selection is limited. Again, I expect this to change soon. Hope this helps.
