My own easiest beach fix is 5 minutes of walking from the house, but I'd rather drive a few minutes up to the beach where I keep my boats. If I want the real clear-water tropical beach feel, it's out to a beach outside the bay, which is maybe 40 minutes. Surf there now.

Of course it's rainy season, and it's been pouring for 2 weeks straight, so I haven't been going much. When the typhoons come and the surf gets real I'll break the whitewater boat out and play in the waves.

The difference in seasons is odd; when you're roasting we're wet, when we're roasting, you have spring.
