"Confidentiality" agreements are in my understanding a way of inhibiting and preventing individuals or parties from talking about the agreed to settlement and bringing legal action against the corporation in the future.

Is this a "confidentiality agreement" that accomplishes that---meaning that the Committee would not be permitted to talk publicly about any proposed settlements or any settlements after the fact nor could they be involved in a lawsuit after the agreed to settlement with LGE?

In other ways a way of stopping freedom of speech and action.
