It is named Ezyshop.mov and should now be saved to your desktop. Once you follow the simple instructions below you can immediately view the EzyShop TV commercial.. and can enjoy the wonderful benefits of having QuickTime on your computer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ QuickTime Installation Instructions As in the case of any major plug-in software, QuickTime must be installed on your computer in order to view a QuickTime movie. QuickTime 4 comes alive with a minimal initial download. Most software installers work like dump trucks‹unloading everything they have onto your computer, whether you¹re ever going to use what¹s in them or not. With QuickTime 4, you can choose to keep your computer running lean and mean by only loading the components you need, when you need them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here¹s how to get started with QuickTime 4 for Windows 95/98/NT: Go to apple.com and enter your name and e-mail address. Then select "Windows 95/98/NT", then "download now". Save the "QuickTimeInstaller.exe" file to you desktop. Once the file has downloaded, close all programs and double-click the QuickTime Installer icon. Click "Next" to advance through greetings screen. Click "Next" to acknowledge you have closed all other programs. Click "Agree" to acknowledge acceptance of the terms and conditions. Click "Next" (installs QuickTime in c:\Program Files\QuickTime). It is recommended that you accept this default. Click "Next" (accepts a "Minimum" installation). This gives you everything you need to enjoy the EzyShop TV Commercial while keeping the download time to a minimum. Click "Next" (creates a program folder for "QuickTime"). It is recommended that you accept this default. Click "Next" (associates QuickTime with Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer). This will ensure full compatibility with both Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Note that the QuickTime browser plug in is not compatible with Windows Netscape Ver 3. Note: If you are using Netscape Navigator 3.0, do yourself a favor and visit the netscape.com site and upgrade your software. It is a free upgrade. Click "Next" to skip (for professional upgrades only). All fields should remain blank. At this point, an internet connection needs to be established. Your computer may connect automatically, otherwise, connect to the internet with any browser. The program with automatically download and install. When it's finished installing, you're asked to view the readme files or view a demo. You may skip these steps by de-selecting the boxes and clicking "finish" so you can proceed immediately to view the commercial. There is no need to reboot your computer. Close all windows. Then simply double click on the EzyShop.mov icon. Turn up the volume, press play and enjoy the show. When you use QuickTime for the first time, the following screen may appear. "Some of the file types associated with QuickTime applications are currently associated with other applications. Should I restore these files type associations to QuickTime?" This simply is asking you if you want the QuickTime Viewer to be your default viewer. You can answer "yes" or "no" or you can tell it not to ask you again. At this point, you may want to answer "no" and then if you enjoy the quality of the QuickTime Viewer next time answer "yes". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here¹s how to get started with QuickTime 4 for Macintosh: Download the small installer from this page apple.com to your desktop. Be sure to include your name, e-mail address and computer operating system. Once the file has downloaded, double-click the QuickTime Installer application. You should find the QuickTime Installer in the folder normally selected for your internet downloads. It takes you through the process. Next, choose between Minimum, Full, or Custom installations. Brief descriptions of each will be displayed. Most people will want the Full install option. Click the ³Continue² button, and the QuickTime 4 Installer will automatically download and install the appropriate files for your computer. Restart your computer and you¹re ready to rock. Once you have rebooted, simply double click on the EzyShop.mov icon. Turn up the volume, press play and enjoy the show. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Note About The QuickTime Installer: Don't worry if you choose Minimum install and it later turns out that you need an additional software component; the installer downloads what¹s needed from the Apple QuickTime web site‹automatically, we might add‹and even updates itself when new versions become available. QuickTime¹s modular architecture is designed for efficiency; each QuickTime 4 component is loaded into memory only when it is needed.
