kha vu and others I need your help... especially SF.. After having done a lot of thinking and analyzing what really is needed to 'profit' from the picks on market gems is one or two GREAT ALERT SYSTEMS. I am writing a special letter to the creators of Qcharts which is quickly becoming a major player in my trading. I need some of you to give 'tips and tricks' in utilizing the ALERT feature of Qcharts. There will be a chapter in the manual on ALERTS from the most elementary to the most intricate (technical alerts, etc.) I personally use prosearch alerts, and metastock real time for the 'major alerts' mostly because they are capable of giving 'technical alerts' in combinations and I have some long time colleagues who write formula language for Metastock which I have not mastered. Unfortunately without written permission (and they charge nicely) I can't include more than a few specialized 'alert' signals that are pretty powerful and useful.. I'm working on them this week.

I belong to a users group in Metastock where we exchange 'Expert Advisors' and specially made 'alerts'.. But these are pretty advanced and not for public distribution. I can't even do the formulas myself but I have the 'progammmers' plug in the 'condition' which I describe in 'lay terms' and they actualize in 'Metastock Special Formula syntax'..

and I also have the nice low end 'alerts' that I have already posted in the "well informed trader site'.. what I need are 'tricks and tips' from users of QCharts for setting alerts in a variety of fashions for the 'intermediate alerts'. They will be included in the manual. I know SF has quite a bit but I personally have not found the time to 'experiment' as much as I'd like... You will be cited in the manual and given credit for the specific alert... and of course I'm getting permission from the creators of Q-charts (with of course a formal creditation to them) to reprint your 'tips and tricks'.

So please, since I'm expecting the manual to be rather longer than first anticipated, I'd appreciate your experiences with 'alerts' from Qcharts. Just mail them to me to jenna7@marketgems.com.. Of course if you have any other tricks that make stock selection more profible I'll be glad to read that as well. AFter looking at scores of books in trading manuals, I don't want just another 'fad' that will eventually fade away, but something useful that will help our subscribers utilize our picks to the max.. and the areas I am exploring are technical and chart reading, fundamental analyis/technical analysis as a form of techno-fundamental approach to stock trading. How to juggle both earnings plays and momentum plays in actual market conditions.
