IMO software is as/more likely to disappoint investors than hardware.
Look at all the failed DBMSs, spreadsheets, TSRs, WPs, acctg packages,
web browsers, etc. Over 20 years there have been tons of also rans.
Both software and hardware are risky investments.

Uh, Al, I don't know what you are talking about. If UMC stock were to go from 60 dollars (Taiwan) to 120 dollars (Taiwan) which I suspect is a distinct possibility, ALSC's stock could very easily duplicate the 95 run.
