Volumes have been written how Vegas is a suckers bet, but every year the crowds still grow.

There's a major difference here. The majority of people visit Vegas with the idea of leaving their money at the casino and this is not the goal or anticipated outcome of daytrading or trading in the market for any investor. The goal is to invest in a company and watch your investment GROW in value. And daytraders, doing so at an accelerated rate.

Daytrading has been glamorized for the past several years. It's been promoted as an alternative means to working 9-to-5 with the down side and reality that very few succeed being down played and a minimum risk. Especially if you pay for a course that teaches you how to trade successfully.

I have read numourous articles that flatly state that daytrading is not for the novice, that a lot of training is involved.

This is my point. And even after this extensive training, many [most] still fail. The glamour will be stripped and not be the lure it has been and this will cause a decrease in the desire for many to attempt such a life style. The industry is already extremely competitive with many businesses failing and this will thin the ranks even more. And with IT not enjoying name recognition in the industry yet, they will have difficulty in franchising or succeeding.
