BTW, this is in no way meant to badmouth CNBC, but I got my first look at TheStreet.com's show this weekend. Pretty impressive. Kind of a roundtable type show. They throw out stock picks and market opinions. I don't know what it is, but as a viewer, it seemed to be a bit more informative and easy to view than normal financial broadcasts (both Cnbc and CNNfn). Perhaps it was just that everything was condensed in 1/2 hour and there was no need to rehash old stories 15 times to kill airtime.

I liked the show a lot...I hope CNBC producers were watching for ideas. Kinda like a bunch of gurus getting together on the weekend over beer and chili dogs, discussing their picks...no grandstanding like we typically see from some of these analysts and portfolio managers always trying to convince people that they've NEVER been wrong. I mean, there should be a sign on the door where guests come into the set that says, "Your egos are not permitted past this point." As much as I hate Herb Greenberg, I liked the guests and Gary B. Smith is always educational to watch (and read) if you trade actively. And Brenda Buttner seemed like a good host.

I don't think this show represents any competition for CNBC and CNNfn, but I think their respective producers should be taking notes from TSC The TV Show on how to improve their programming.
