AH,

Thanks for the responses. Regarding the parts that weren't clear:

> Do you see that they will be convinced to play elsewhere or adjust > the split and squeeze @Home?

> Elsewhere where?

Elsewhere like with another company. AOL, MSFT. Replace Comcast@Home with AOL broadband over Comcast infrastructure.

This statement appears to give your opinion on the whole post. It would have sufficed.

> I believe that @Home will be playing a dangerous game in the next > couple of years.

>What game is that?

That game is for ATHM to resist being just the company that rolled out the broadband for the cable companies. If ATHM isn't more valuable than that they will fade as the networks are in place and the CFO's begin looking for the 35 cents that goes to ATHM.

Warmed over philosophy. The question was referring to ATHM offering DSL, dialup, cable, tin cans, whatever to get to the customer despite having cable beginnings. That can cause friction with the cables as they see anything other than cable as competing technology that should not be encouraged.

ok.

For the rest of the thread, this question was regarding cable companies contracts with ATHM. I believe that opportunities for other companies to replace ATHM will come up around contract time.

I figured as much.
