"The burning of fossil fuels is rapidly compromising our ability to survive." Says who? When will we start dying? "I would think that some day farmers--even the ones in Louisiana--will connect global warming with the billions of dollars they are suffering in crop losses." Says who? How many billions did they lose last year? "What seems to be totally missing from the global warming equation is an understanding of the fact that dependence on fossil fuels will cost all of us dearly, in money and lives." How much money will it cost you and me? When do you think YOU will die because of global warming? 2005? 2010? 2080? "I just hope it is not too late to stop the destruction when it dawns on everyone!" What kind of destruction? When? Where? Are you driving your car or riding your bicycle to work tomorrow?
