The impression I get is that the motive power - the engine - behind current SI is NO LONGER the user community. without question. and i share your historical experience: eg, e-mailing jill on a number of occasions always elicited her immediate and responsive reply. I do so wish our current captains would speak out on the Petition Forum. the silence speaks volumes.

I do so wish our current captains would speak out on the Petition Forum. You created your thread at 11:13 on Friday, July 30. That is mid day on Friday. Do you feel SI management should spend their weekend reading your thread? Do you feel they should have known your thread was more important than perhaps, their families? Unlike many members of SI that post daily, 7 days a week, to SI management and employees this is their job and they are entitled to time off.
