Dennis

The Barron's rumored article turned out to be just that, a rumor and nothing more, i.e. is-was a non-event.

I posted a chart on Friday that shows a 1 year chart of AOL with the 50, 100 and 200 EMA's. It shows very clearly that AOL is a buy at this level and investors that buy off the 200 EMA are very quickly rewarded. I bought again last Friday as it touched the 200 EMA. Message 10738373

As to the y2k issue/non-issue I don't think we will see any bozos panic selling 5 months early on that premise. Each time I am asked a question by an investor about how I think y2k might affect the markets I always ask myself why should it affect the markets.

There are many well publicized news releases that show that Wall Street's computers have and are testing as y2k compliant. So are all federally regulated banks, airports, power companies and the list goes on. There is a federal law in place that forces all businesses to meet the y2k compliance regulation and most have done so by now. Each business has to fill out and return to the feds a very lengthy form certifying that they are y2k compliant. The fine for not doing this is enormous

So the real question is this; how many idiots will sell me their stock at reduced prices between now and 12/30/99?
