I saw Neil Trevitt of 3Dlabs present that professional graphics today needs 288 MB of texture memory. If that it true then I suppose that it is only a couple of years before that will be required in mainstream PCs. His chart shows texture memory doubling every year.

Oh, that MoSys 1T sram is really just embedded dram that they are trying to spin as 1T sram for marketing purposes.
