ed: Don't get melodramatic here. Remember AG is worried about tight job market. Well CPQ just loosened it up a bit and if these people have any talent they will probably find better jobs with another employer. I went through similar dislocations and had a family of 9 kids and a stay at home work at home wife and although we lived close to the bone there was always enough food shelter and clothing. The boogey man as I remember was Volcker at the time. The problem is not the person but the whole idea of the central bank taking increasingly more power to itself over time. The guy who shot himself after shooting and wounding or killing 23 or so people was a jerk and completely responsible for his own misfortune. JFD
