It all depends whether or not it is a good law or a Nazi law. In the case of most driving laws I would say they are fair.

If the state-wide highway limit is 55 and you're doing that down a wide four-lane divided highway without a curve on it anywhere and some jurisdiction sneaks in a 45MPH sign for no reason and posts a cop by it, you know you're in Hardeeville, SC (actually Hardeeville, SC is miles away but somehow they hijacked a mile or so of HWY 278). You can forget beating the ticket. You don't beat a ticket in Hardeeville, and I actually have enough going on in my life to pass on my right to appeal.

It's called a "speed trap". You can look it up -- the one in Hardeeville is widely noted if you care to rev up your search engine.

In spite of the fact that I have no idea what you look like I have no problem picturing your lips moving as you read every single speed limit sign on the interstate.
