Thread.... does anyone know if the 17,100 current casing point in the relief well is a measured depth as opposed to a total vertical depth? Since these wells have been directionally drilled this information may have some relevance. Additionally, was the 17,600 foot depth reported on the blow-out a measured depth or a total vertical depth? This would be helpful in attempting to determine how HIGH the relief well actually is to the blow-out. Thanks for the help.
