How does this look timing wise to you as far as buying some more AOL on this dip? AOL has reached the 200 ema the 3rd time in 12 months on Friday and it acted predictably as it jumped several points off of that level before the market shut down.

I have bought twice in the last 7 trading days and as someone said earlier today "This is how you make money in the market". Meaning that you buy when the herd is selling.

Who's Worth More? AOL or MSFT

America Online is now approaching the 100 million desktop customer mark, counting AOL, Compuserve, ICQ, Netscape.com, and Winamp. Microsoft has 160 million desktop customers across all of its product lines. Mr. Benjamin did not go into this detail, but if America Online could derive a dollar amount of profit per desktop customer similar to Microsoft's $57.50, and grow at the same rate, AOL would deserve a valuation around $300 billion.

Is an AOL that produces as much or more revenue per user than Microsoft possible? In short, yes. Within 5 years the AOL model will most likely be producing profits of at least $50 per user each year. With even the most conservative growth estimates AOL's desktop user base will reach 150 million. That means that the online giant could rake in $7.5 billion each year in profit, and make my trillion dollar company argument look a lot more likely.

Chinmoy, AOL-U.K. is pushed out of 1st place by Freeserve what kind of a Broadband did AOL-UK have???In yesterday's London Sunday Times (see report- POST #2440 ON X-STREAM (XSNI:Nasdaq) THREAD) it said "One of the big opportunities for FREE ISP's will be British Telecom's decision to upgrade its copper wire network to allow broadband. Tom Reid, co-head of UK corporate broking at CSFB, said: "surfers will be able to use the net for 24 hours a day for the same price as 10 minutes and will be able to access videos and live music".----They even have to pay for local phone calls in the U.K., -X-Stream 3rd. place among UK -ISP's sometimes give their 410,000 subscribers a break in that dept.!!!
