gs: I agree with him there . If the steel company or any other business is uncompetitive then they should not be kept in business. On the other hand if the layoffs are due to dumping because of foreign subsidies that is another matter. When AG talks like this he is talking in free market terms- that's ok. It is the Feds. all too proactive intervention and jawboning the markets that bothers me. What is further disturbing is that these guys are barking up the wrong tree. It was deflation that caused the depression not inflation and that is our only threat at the present time. JFD
