Stan,

Where do I begin?

Well, first you wrote: "Ok answer this, since you tried to answer one that wasn't for you anyway." Uh, Stan, you noted that I was "the captain" of the EGRP cheerleaders, didn't you? If you think I'm going to ignore a provocative statement like that, then you're wrong. If you didn't want me to see it, then send a private message; otherwise you're going to get an answer.

Then you brilliantly followed with this: "I'll make this one easy for you just math." Stan, if you're going to make it easy for me (and give me a lecture at the same time), then I'd suggest that you either write in English or send an interpreter.

But to your "larger" point, that EGRP hasn't done much since March 22. Big deal. My basis, Stan, is $6.25 (December 1, 1998, post-split), and EGRP is above $30. I don't know if that qualifies me as a "market slayer," but I don't think it's cause for me to hang my head in shame, either. Has EGRP given up some ground since April--sure. So have almost all of the internet stocks (do you spread your special brand of cheer around to the threads covering Yahoo, AOL, AMTD, etc. also, Stan?). But I'm not a trader, Stan, I'm an investor, and I plan on holding this stock for many years in the future, as do many others on this thread. And in 5 years, why don't you come back and we'll see who's done well and who hasn't...

But good luck and "RaH RaH RaH" to you, too.

Cordially,

ecommerceman

Stanley Brown, hot shot, rapid fire trader, may i suggest this reading material for you:
beta.siliconinvestor.com

there's a paragraph in that article, the man had bought 100 shares of MSFT in october 1986 at $ 30 (the MSFT IPO was on march 86 and sold for $ 21), he sold them 6 weeks later for a $ 1000 profit, he thought he was such a shrewd trader...
you know how much those 100 shares would be worth today? more than 1 million dollars.
think about that tonight stanley brown, try to focus on the grand scheme of things, and pick good companies to invest in.
EGRP was a good company at $ 70, is it worse now that it's trading at $ 31? keep your emotions under control.

that's your problem my friend, you measure performance arbitrarily from "march 22 to july 30".
why not measure it from october 98 to april 4, for that matter?
or better yet, from october 98 to january 2005.
think about it

___
"Since we talked back in Mar and expressed my views and you told me what a fool I was and how great this company was and you'd soon be rich how much have you made on EGRP? Well using Mar 22 as a date to look at (since that was when we talked) on that day EGRP was trading 59 3/8 to 61 15/16 opened at 61 3/8 and closed at 59 7/8. (split adjusted that would be 29 15/16) So I guess you win for the 4 months passed you have a ROI of 1/16, go ahead you market slayer you"
