Brian,

I am aware of the different gas taxes in different states, and that California is among the highest. I just used the barometer of California gas prices. In a week it went up 25%! Blame it on a refinery in Northeren California, or on oil prices set by producing countries. Since oil is the blood of our economy, that phenomena triggered my concerns. Nothing will make me happier than being wrong in this case.

BTW: Yes New Jersey has one of the lowest gas prices, but I am not used to pay tolls every 10 miles. It is not the amount of money I have to surrender, but the delays caused by those toll booths, and some places even require exact change. So, there, in the end you are about to spend the same amount like California.

Best regards

Paul
