These "benchmarks" provide no system configuration, or any other information whatsoever. They do not agree with published SPEC results so it makes little sense taking them seriously. EP

Circuit City: sell K7/Athlons when people just want the best machine There is a lot of news on the link at aces' hardware. It's this kind of support from the channel that can really help AMD. An excerpt: Compaq is saying that the 500 and 550 models will be released initially early this month and the 600 will be released later in august. But there's no news from IBM, HP, or NEC, yet. !_! It also states that K7/Athlons will be expensive but have an unbelievable speed and is much faster than the P3. The news letter also advises that to sell K7/Athlons when people just want the best machine period.
