They have EXCLUSIVE agreements with the NABE, an organization that represent at least 90% of all practicing lawyers in the country. You didn't say for what, so I thought I'd fill in that blank. They have the contract (and have had it since 1995) to publish membership directories for NABE, which they then market to its own membership. Similarly for the state bars. I suppose that techincally qualifies as "content", but I think that it's just as practical, should the need arise, to look up the yellow pages (physical or online) under "attorneys".
