But do you really think that is it the place of the broadband facilities and service providers to supply those broadband applications? Intel has spent a great deal futhering applications for the PC. The purpose is to sell more (and faster) PC's which means selling more microprocessors. Microsoft does the same. Why do you think they give away so much software? The place of the MSO/ATHM or whomever RR type of function, is to supply plumbing and caching, but not the launching of the content itself Tell that to Excite. Remember them? Symbol=ATHM. The purpose of a portal is to provide a place for people to go to find lots of cool everyday uses for the internet. Lets start seeing some "gotta have" broadband apps! I'm sure they are struggling to figure out exactly what they are and how to present them to people. Eric
