EMC and Forsythe Extend Strategic Alliance
Leading Reseller Extends Relationship With EMC To 2002
Alliance Expected To Generate $500 Million
HOPKINTON, Mass. and SKOKIE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 1999--EMC Corporation and Forsythe Solutions Group, Inc., a leading IT integrator, today announced they have extended their strategic marketing, reseller and professional services alliance. As part of the alliance, Forsythe offers EMC's industry leading Symmetrix Enterprise Storage systems, software and integration consulting through its nationwide sales and consulting group. The agreement is expected to generate $500 million in revenue for EMC over the next two-and-a-half years.
EMC and Forsythe have worked together for over seven years and the relationship has evolved as customer requirements for integrated solutions and services from multiple vendors have increased. In addition to EMC, Forsythe offers products from Hewlett-Packard, Sun, Compaq, IBM, Cisco Systems and others. EMC's Symmetrix Enterprise Storage systems are capable of providing simultaneous storage support for all of the servers that Forsythe offers, giving customers the flexibility to deploy best-of-breed components that best meet their requirements. As part of the extension, the EMC and Forsythe professional services organizations will work together to design, develop and implement customized EMC Enterprise Storage architectures for its customers.
