Check out Celeron PCs and compare what is inside them to what is inside K6-2 PCs. You will generally find the same size everything.

And I don't expect Compaq or whomever to be putting in a nice IBM hard drive in their cheap 366MHz Celeron system and a cheaper Fujitsu hard drive in their 350MHZ K6-2 systems. OEMs probably use the same hard drive, when the size is the same, throughout all their systems.
