WOODBURY, NY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1999--Comverse's Systems To Enable Enhanced Messaging Services To Over One Million Of OTE's Customers Nationwide

Under the terms of the agreement, Comverse Network Systems will provide enhanced services platforms for deployment throughout Greece. The systems initially will enable voice mail, fax messaging, call completion, and other advanced messaging services to over 1 million wireline subscribers nationwide.

Itsik Danziger, President and Chief Operating Officer of Comverse Network Systems, said, "Comverse's selection by OTE, one of the leading telecommunications providers in Europe, provides further evidence of the strength of Comverse's partnerships with the world's leading telecommunications providers, particularly as OTE seeks to expand its business both within Greece and throughout Europe."

Comverse won the contract through its partnership with Intracom.

Maybe someone can help me out here.
If Calling Party Pays happens, won't that be bad for Comverse since Comverse makes voice message systems that will no longer be needed if people leave their phones on all day?
