I asked someone in the industry to check my acceleRouter estimates that I posted last week. The response came back that it was optimistic - not because AcceleRouter is not a good product, or that it can't capture a sizable portion of it's market, but because I estimated 80% UPGRADES and 20% replacements. The response was that newer next generation workgroup devices would force more replacements due to multiservice features (items mentioned were SS7 connectivity, RSVP, RFC multicasting). My point is valid that MRVC's AcceleRouter should be strong in the upgrade market - just that more replacements were likely than I thought. There is still a sizable market for upgrades though, IMO.
