Ron, >>>Just like it was unlikely for the Jewish Rosenberg's to pass secrets on to the Russians, right? <<<

What does any of this have to do with Wen Ho Lee?

Web Ho Lee is an individual who chose to migrate from Taiwan to the United States. He chose to become a US citizen. He chose (in his won words) to make America strong by contributing his knowledge in nuclear science by working as a scientist at the US National Laboratory.

If you don't like his country of origin - say so. If you don't like his race - say so. But going on a fishing expedition and investigate his life without any grounds and ruin the man's life is, if anything, the worst kind of Un-American behavior.

We, in the United States, respect individual rights and we respect the rule of law. We do not tolerate treason. To accuse someone of treason, however, we need evidence. We can't go on fishing expeditions to accuse people of treason based purely on race or ethnicticity.

To destroy a man's life for some political agenda, for one's own political ambitions, or to resolve one's inner pathology is pure evil.

Mary

Ron, I think you will agree that it is important to be accurate when making simple statements such as <<Btw, John Huang was Taiwanese.>>

John Huang was NOT Taiwanese at the time he emigrated to the United States. He was born in Fujian province in China. His family fled to Taiwan as the Communists were achieving victory on the mainland. He was thus considered a "mainlander" while living in Taiwan. Native Taiwanese-Mainlander polarization is no longer as prevalent as it was during the time John Huang lived on Taiwan.

I don't mean to pick on you personally, Ron. I just grow weary of reading so many outrageously untrue "facts" that get bandied about, or accepted without comment, here and elsewhere.

My source is noted below.

While I have your attention, you have made some particularly astute observations about the activities of Wen Ho Lee, and appear well-versed on the subject matter. Can you name any other time in recent history that the United States government has publicly singled out an individual as a probable spy without filing any charges against that person? As you say elsewhere on this thread, it is most unusual for "dirty laundry" to be aired in this manner. Other than providing a convenient scapegoat for a series of oversight problems caused by an inattentive administration, I can't imagine what useful purpose has been served. Regards, Randy

I learn that Rosenberg's execution shocks many people. The guy couldn't access to top secret that threatened the safety of the nation. The secret he passed on about the nuclear weapon was low class, or not as high as we thought. I read that he, or his family, was a member of CP of US(I could be wrong on this). But, it was clear he was a communist fan. It is no doubt to me this believe (not because of Jewish) doubled the punishment for his crime. If that is true, this is the case of injustice.
