They're sales definately slowed down. I would think the jewelry business is cyclical, peaking at Christmas time.

Thoughts?

In the retail manufacture of consumer goods that tend to do best around xmas and Valentines day there is a tendency to build inventories for later distribution to retail outfits during the summer. Perhaps this may account for the inventory bulge. Some are saying that diamonds are selling well and are expected to continue to do so due the year 2000 phenomenum. I guess a lot people may be getting married on 1/1/2000. Perhaps the same is anticipated for the moissanite gemstone. Its certainly cheaper. I am unaware as to what the projected or expected sales figure was. Could you point me to that? If the projection is from the company then they should aim low next time much like what MSFT does every qtr.
