Exactly! These companies make these grandiose announcements and the market just believes them without taking into account the enormous amount of financial - not to mention intellectual - capital that is required. Sun's announcement is almost laughable. Now, if SUNW were to make the announcement in terms of acquisitions (like CSCO does routinely) then a different story would be told - although the financial demands would be similar. So much of SUNW's strategy seems predicated on "tipping over WINTEL's applecart." It just seems too emotional to me.
