Re Tennessee
Dell ship now up on the step, leaving competition far behind in the
rooster tail. Building 6 acre plants here and there. Just getting started. Computer sales in US up 35%. All integrated, worked out with suppliers to have local warehouses, production, trucks, packaging, shipping arrangements. Intel, IBM, Rambus, Msft suppliers. Quality
parts throughout.
Dell's efforts are directed to efficiency in these matters,
as opposed to invention of new components or software which is best left to others since they must be tested and proven before ready for market.
They built a better mouse-trap. Hiring perhaps more people than CPq is laying off. But that is just for computers, now comes FAST, which
I expect to become THE search engine of the future, not to mention
ISP's and Gigabuys.
Listen to Kemble, not the bears,Dell is in diapers.
It would not be a great surprise for Dell to request authorization for 14 bil shares within two years
