There is an article floating around about Gates giving all his money away leaving only 10mm for his kids. I kindof doubt the article (I am fairly sure Gates will give a lot to charity but I doubt he will only leave 10mm for his kids).

Anyway the issue of raising a family when you are so influential and powerful becomes a daunting task it seems, this is a case where something is much easier when you are a nobody. It seems to me Joe Kennedy did about the best with his family of anyone.... even though he may have been a bad guy enough was good such that the Kennedy's really realized their potential, I really can't think of a much better example. The worst of all influential money families was Getty, who was another one who gave everything to charity and completely disregarded his family members, in some sort of bizarre control game.
