Mark, there are crimes of omission, also.

Before Jesus, the righteous believed that obeying the law was the key to salvation. But Jesus said that what goes into a man is not what makes him unclean. His directive is the golden rule.

It's possible to obey the details of the law but still be disobedient in our general behavior. For example, we could be very precise and faithful about giving 10 percent of our money to God, but refuse to gice one minute of our time in helping others Tithing is important, but paying does not exempt us from fulfilling God's other directives.

This is an explanation of Mathew 23:23,24

I really think that your problem with religion is not because of disagreements with Jesus, but because of a human's natural tendency to remain unbound. And laws are binding.

Mark, I would ask you to review the lyrics to this song by REM and tell my what you think. olga.imedia.com.pl:8080/main/r/rem/new_test_leper.crd
