John. . .no problem.. . for 25 days after an IPO goes to market, brokerage house analysts are not allowed to upgrade or downgrade the stock. . . this gives the new issue a period where the price can settle.

Then, when the upgrades or downgrades come out, the stock starts generally in that direction. . . .so there is some play going on . . in the guessing of direction just before the quiet period ends. . .which is generally up, since IPOs are like rookie ball players.

If they get a hit their first time at bat, they are batting a thousand.
