I apologize but it is important to have background, IMO, on the "Holy Wars" when trying to determine just how dominant CDMA will be (as an end to end wireless technology as opposed to an air interface) v GSM

Sorry to keep hammering away on this but I just don't understand what you're saying. What do you mean by "end to end"? Both GSM and CDMA are air interfaces aren't they? The fact that today they operate on top of or in conjunction with differing underlying networks ie GSM-MAP and ANSI-41 isn't really germaine is it, especially since the ERICY/QCOM agreement, unless of course one thinks 3G is an industry hoax and GSM will continue to dominate.But then how does CDMA become the dominant interface? Overlays? What am I missing?
