Re: "I appreciate you optimistic "explanation".
However it does not pass a small reality check.
If you are not too lazy to check SEC
files, e.g. for Albert Yu:
biz.yahoo.com
you would find out that he has sold every
option he exercised, every one."

Ali, the source you quote says that Albert Yu still holds 271,382 shares. That's not a man who has dumped all his Intel stock.

Gordon Moore still owns 145 million shares of Intel. That's not a man who has just dumped all his stock.

Andy Grove still holds 4,157,066 shares, that's not a man who dumped all his Intel stock.

Paul Otellini still holds 112,180

Thomsa Dunlap still holds 228,220

Michael Splinter 134,990

Arthur Rock 10,923,248

etc etc.

Drop it with this "Intel Executives are dumping their stock" stuff. You're making an even bigger fool of yourself and I don't want to have to come back here and make more excusses for you.

TO ALL: iNTC is such a tempting short here...I have to keep repeating to myself "DO NOT DO IT...DO NOT DO IT!!!!"

DO NOT DO IT...there is some really big money chasing it here...it can continue to go up for what will seem to be an eternity if you do.

Regards,

DARBES

Ali - Re:"Can't wait for your next explanation"

The explanation is rather simple. Learn to read your source material. The citation for Albert Yu shows "Shares Remaining: 271,382 Common as of 24-Jun-99" so Yu owned a lot of shares after the sales that you identify.

Craig Barrett is who we were talking about before you changed the subject. Another source for shares held by directors and executive officers is the Intel proxy statement:

intc.com

This shows that as of Feb 26, 1999, Barrett owns 2,952,703 shares. keeping this many shares after a sale of $59 million in Oct 98 is definitely not a total liquidation of position.

You were also yelping about Gordon Moore selling all of his shares and having no investment in Intel. The correct data from the proxy is:
Gordon E. Moore 177,635,795 shares 5.3%

That sure looks like a $12 BILLION investment, a wee bit more than your foolish statement of 'no investment'.
