there is another method also. there are some cards that you can write checks against like a line of credit. first union has such a card. and i mean no service charge for writing a check, ever. so you can produce a balance whenever you need one. that was always an important mo for me, to have access to how to get balances into the system in the first place. i would bet that your bank wouldn't offer really big credit lines on a zero percenter.
