pham - You asked, ". . . [D]does WSTL now compete directly with BEL via POTOMAC in Washington DC region" since WSTL sells ADSL equipment to both? Since BEL offers an isp service that competes with Potomac's isp business, I guess WSTL is selling to both. Is that considered competing with BEL or just supplying both sides? I've wondered about this "last mile" issue since I pay for a local phone service from BEL but get isp service with that connection from another isp (not Potomac) cheaper than BEL offers its isp service. Nevertheless, BEL gets money from me either way. On the other hand, BEL local phone service plus BEL ADSL would be cheaper than BEL local phone plus my isp's ADSL offering. Since I use a laptop provided by work, however, I'm awaiting our (imminent) switch from T1 to ADSL in the office before agonizing over setting up home ADSL as well.

Harry
