< Should it be held as an adventureous, acceptable profession or one that draws the "get rich quick" crowd? > I think the above is a big part of the failure rate ... many are not willing to truly learn how to trade, they want to get rich overnight. Instead, they want to play high flyers, like the internets, and make the big $$$. High risk and high "potential" reward. But many ignore the potential downside when we are in a bull market. They want to be a Sammy Sosa in trading, hitting a lot of home runs. Instead, they strike out a lot and blow themselves out of the game. I'll take the consistent singles any day of the week, as I know I'll be around to play the next day, next week, next year. Dave
