Another workplace shooting. Wonder who gets the blame for this one.

3 dead in Alabama office shootings
Suspect held after killing current, former colleagues, police say

MSNBC
Aug. 5 — A man who was fired by his previous employer on Thursday shot and killed three people at his current and former workplaces in Pelham, Ala., police said. The suspect was arrested after a high-speed chase.

THE UNIDENTIFIED MAN shot two employees at Ferguson Enterprises, a heating and cooling business, about 7 a.m. ET Thursday before driving to the offices of his former employer, Post Air Gas Inc., and shooting an employee there, Pelham Police Chief Allan Wade said. All three victims were declared dead at the scene, he said.
A bulletin was issued for the gunman and, after a high-speed chase on Interstate 65, officers arrested a 34-year-old suspect in nearby Chilton County after a brief scuffle, Wade said. A handgun was recovered from the front seat of the suspect's vehicle, he said.

Authorities said they intended to file murder charges against the man, a resident of Billingsley, Ala.

Wade said investigators had not yet determined a motive for the shootings.

The dead were identified as Lee Holbrooks, 32, and Christopher Yancy, 28, both Ferguson employees, and Terry Jarvis, 39, a worker at Post Air Gas.

The shooting was the second serious instance of workplace violence in the South in a week. Last Thursday, disgruntled day stock trader Mark Barton opened fire in two suburban Atlanta brokerage houses, killing nine people. He had previously killed his wife and daughters, police said.

Pelham is 145 miles west of Atlanta.
