To the poster who asked if there would be a big sell off after launch. I thought of this myself. A stock running up like this is vulnerable in that scenario but there is one difference here.

I would say that ASTN has a "double whammy" here that will make it either crash and burn after launch or really take off. Why? The customer base.

If fund managers and institutional investors like the VTS system, they will be the first to know that it will be successful. I think they will quickly become buyers of ASTN stock. Perhaps not in their institutional accounts, but I can guarantee that these folks have plenty of people who want to hear about good tips from the mouths of big buyers. In that case the ASTN shares will be in short supply and there could be a big jump in price.

On the other hand if there is not enough liquidity to carry the big orders, then the opposite could happen.

So I see this as a two stage rocket, and you should bet on the direction you think it is pointing, up, or down. But this ain't GE, there will only be champs or chumps at first.

I bet up.
