TARADO96

Welcome to the thread.

To be honest with you I have not had enough time to study the YHOO ATHM deal. I have held some short term positions in ATHM but don't own it at this time. I do have a longer term position in YHOO so I guess you could say I'm covered already as far as a buy is concerned.

The bounce you refer to is a real possibility and ATHM could be driven even higher on the speculation of this deal. What the final impact of a merger would have on ATHM's price is still in the cards. I am thinking of the AOL NSCP deal this spring. That made a lot of NSCP owners happy as they were able to buy AOL at a 10% discount almost up until the actual merger took place. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

In the end it is normally the acquiring company that gets fatter on the stock price side but I am talking much longer ranged then you are at this time.
